Our Strategic Framework

Since our founding in 2000, Ipas Ethiopia has expanded reproductive health by expanding access to abortion and contraception to protect women and girls by enabling them make their own reproductive health choices.

We center our work on the needs of women and girls who seek abortion, contraception and health, information service and care. We strive to continually improve our approach in a manner that addresses all factors that impact women and girls access to abortion and contraceptive care.

We are working toward a sustainable abortion and contraceptive eco system, a dynamic condition in which every governmental and non-governmental stake holder actively commits and engages to enforcement of laws and policies on abortion and contraceptive rights and are responsive to these needs.

We realize that, achieving this requires strategic partnerships with effective, equitable and intersectional partners, and the resilience to ensure that abortion and contraceptive care are given the fitting weight and priority in the eyes of law makers, enforcers as well as health care providers.
